A Key Role for Marketplace Leaders

When I first started studying the role of the Marketplace Christian, I believed the main role of this leader was to bring in provision for the endtime harvest. I still believe that is a major role; I just don’t think it is the major role. It is obvious that we need the Christian business leader to bring in provision; most churches and ministries lack the resources they need to fulfill their God given call. So, we need for you to succeed financially and to be faithful in your giving.

However, there are many issues on the heart of God that can and must be fulfilled that have little or nothing to do with money. Father God is looking for people of integrity, who will stand for truth and will work to alleviate the numerous injustices in our world. You and I must become proactively involved in stopping various kinds of abuse, feeding the hungry, caring for the lonely, and generally exposing and eliminating oppression. Justice and righteousness appear to be favorite words of our God (Ezekiel 45:9; II Chron. 9:8; I kings 10:9)

The reality is this; there will be no change in the spiritual climate over our cities without our involvement in the things that touch the heart of God. Start where you are! Start where you spend most of your time. Turn your workplace into a haven for the hurting and a light in a dark world.
