“I beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.” Eph. 4:1

Leaders come in all shapes and sizes, and attain their position in any number of ways. Some are selected by popular choice; some gain their position through deceit and treachery. Some work hard at becoming a leader, while for others it is very easy and natural. Some gain leadership through wealth; others gain wealth through leadership.

Christian business leaders also come in all shapes and sizes. However, they are all selected in the same way. God chooses them! He selects, He appoints, He anoints. (I John 2:27)  Those who accept this call may have different attitudes about the role. Some are fearful and reluctant, with a sense of unworthiness and almost overwhelmed by the task. Others enter into this business calling with a faith and confidence that they can conquer all. 

There is a key to succeeding, and those who succeed in marketplace ministry have this common ingredient. You must know that you are called, that it is God who has selected you and it is He who will enable you. You must know the power is from the Lord, and you must walk humbly before the Lord. You walk humbly with a boldness that defies human understanding.
