Overcoming Fear

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” I John 4:18
 
There is a certain amount of fear and trepidation in business. If you are just starting; the fear can be very high. But even after years in business (or on a job or an enterprise of any kind) there are changes that come that cause us to fear. When you cannot see the answer and know of so many possibilities; fear will come. That is a reality, but it is a reality that Father God knew about in advance and has given us a powerful weapon to defeat it.

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” I John 4:18

The weapon; the powerful tool that the Lord has provided for all of us in time of fear is love. In fact, the more we practice love, the more strength we have to defeat the fear that comes up in our minds.
It is love for God, it is love for His word, it is love for family, it is love for life, it is love for His promises, it is love for His presence, it is love for that protection that causes fear to disappear from my mind. And yes: it is love for my business. Because it is the Lord who has provided the business opportunity (and remember, it is really all His.)

So, when fear enters; love must increase. Are you walking in love? Do your employees see and experience your love? Does your family see you as a loving person? Do you love your city, your nation, your church? The more you love, the greater the victory over fear.

The key to the victory in business that the Lord has for you; is not only in prayer, but in prayers that you speak out loud over your business by faith. For instance:

“Thank you Lord for giving me the opportunity to serve you through my business! I John 4:18 is true and is operating in my body. Fear has no place because I am full of love for God, and His promises!”
