THERE IS POWER IN YOUR WORDS!

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” Proverbs 18:21

Several years ago, Norman Vincent Peale wrote the phenomenal bestseller: The Power of Positive Thinking.  By applying the practical techniques outlined in this book, millions found a way to energize life and gain the initiative needed to carry out their ambitions and hopes. 

But long before that bestseller; the God of the universe gave us a principle that has the very power of life and death. It is “the tongue.” Our words have power, and the way we use them can change our life and our business for the better or the worse. How often I hear someone say a negative thing about themselves with no thought for the impact of the words.

Words like: “I can never do anything right.” Or “I am so stupid”; well; you get the idea. These words have power. So do these words: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. When we give heed to God’s Word on a daily basis, the angels and the Holy Spirit work on our behalf to arrange our success and prosperity.

So, when it comes to our work and business life; the same principle holds true. Instead of speaking words of death (failure) over our work life, let’s start speaking words of life: success, accomplishment, impact, restoration, energy, rejuvenation, ability, achievement, capability, performance, skill, talent, triumph, attainment, completion, fulfillment, proficiency: the power of God!
